The saddle for Vespa T5 article 0673 is the original type model, like the one that Piaggio fitted as standard on the assembly line in Pontedera back in the 1980s.

In those years the saddles consisted of a strong 5 mm thick iron frame (NB today much thinner and more fragile frames are found on the market! ) with a dense network of springs held centrally by a serpentine or commonly called “Greek” spring.
Two centrally placed conical springs were used to help support the weight of the passengers to cushion the roughness of the ground.
In those days roads were not like today’s (at least not everywhere)! Many potholes and dirt roads had to be faced by motorcyclists all over the world. So this type of saddle made it possible to improve comfort and “spring” away in comfort.

Our Vespa T5 saddle is spacious and suitable for long trips for two passengers.

The button version is for those who want to put their own lock while the full version also has the lock block and keys.

The handle (compulsory for models over 50) has a square finial like that of the era.

The black-colored faux leather cover is waterproof and UVA-resistant; the screen prints are white. Saddle cover art. 2673

Black powder-coated iron frame to resist rust.
